    yeah pretty much

Sure….but try not to go to the typical sites only in Damascus. There are mountain areas where certain villages, holding on to ancient civilizations, still speak Aramaic!?!…ancient and beautiful ruins, sacred sites/churches……plus ancient Islamic ruins as well :-)

Prices are relatively descent/cheap..food is really good…..average citizens can be a bit conservative….you just have to use common sense to avoid offending anyone….

Have fun if you do go :-D

I used to go but haven’t gone back since I last went in 2000. It was cheaper there like in 5 star hotels for Lebanese (they charged them like they would charge the Syrians) but it’s not anymore, not after what happened between Leb and Syria afer March 14…but the food is kinda cheap and the clothes too

Yes i do go to Syria every now and than,i have relatives living over there but their not Syrians.
I think the food is the same or maybe just a little cheap but the clothes are cheap,it depends sometimes what store u go to,cuz there are cheap and expensives and normal.

Theres a store here in Tripoli that opened in Syria/Tartous,and the price is 3 times more than here in Lebanon/Tripoli,so it all depends!
