I have a few days off and I’m planning to spend about a week in krakow. I looked it up on the web and it seems like a nice place to visit. However there are a few things I’d like to know, if you would please help me.
What’s the weather like in krakow around the end of august-beginning of september? I would go there a week or so from now What sort of clothes should I bring?
Would it make sense to take a hotel in krakow for the whole week and then, when I feel I’m done visiting the town, do a few day trips outside? Would it be better to split my seven days in two, say 3 days in krakow and 4 in another town (which one?)?
Speaking about hotels, is it usually difficult to find a place at the last moment? It’s a bit of a sudden decision on my part, so I’m probably going to just disembark, go to the tourist office and ask if they can find me an accommodation. Are hotels full in this period or can I do that and have a reasonable expectation of being fine?
Should I expect the language to be a problem? I only speak English (and Italian and a little French, but I don’t expect those to be of any use)
Thank you for any help
I am here.
Now the weather is good, sometimes there is sunshine in the morning, after that the temperature is down, and much rain in the afternoon or night. Its still good to go to holiday in krakow in sepetember, dear… you can bring your nice autumn clothes, may be need one jacket and one clothes for raining day.
In the oldtown krakow, that’s tourist spot, a lot of travel for nice tour (to auszwitch, zakopane, katowice, arround the oldtown, etc..etc…). In the oldtown are, there are vawel castle, a lot of hystorical building, and large park with thousands bird. You can speak english in the centre of Krakow, a lot of Polish people understand it, especially in fast food, cafe, and restourant, its okay…
btw I suggest that u book the hotel first because its more expensive if you directly coming and not get the best room u need.
hope its help, come here, have a nice day!
Hello
1.Weather- at the end of august is still warm 24-30 celsius i dont think you would need a jacket. If so a thin one if you are a cold person.
2.Hotels- hotels can be expansive in Krakow so other option seems to be better. If you decide to go to hotel in Krakow for a week avoid centre
2a-outside Krakow -krakow is a jumping-off point for other attractions close to the city such as town zakopane
I would book in advance for example online in summer Krakow is busy
3.language -NO problem majority of cracovians speak good english.youngsters better.
