I haven’t used hotels.com to book a Vegas hotel before, but I have used them for hotel stays in other places. I’ve never had any trouble at all. Sometimes hotels will offer you the same rate you find on hotels.com if you book directly with them instead. It might be worth calling the hotel you’re looking at to see if they will match or beat the rate.

yes and it was a nightmare. we confirmed the hotel two days before and when we got there, there was no reservation. took three hours to get it straight. i will never use them again.

Sister did and they picked a motel not hotel for same price as hotel. Go directly to the hotel you want to stay, they all have great direct deals right now

Hotels.com stays in business by marking up the price of hotel rooms. You’re not going to get a better rate from them than you can get directly from the hotel’s own web site.

Same goes for Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc. They stay in business by profiting from the prices they charge for travel arrangements.

The only way you save money with those sites is that instead of taking a nonstop flight, they’ll offer you a 4 a.m. flight with two stopovers and a plane change.
