My recommendation is to go to the Cruise Critic forum. There you can get advice from many more people. I agree that cruise terminal parking is extremely expensive. I always stay at a hotel one night before a cruise and it cost about $50 a week to park.

For safety and security of your car you should park it in the cruise parking lot. It’s monitored and will give you peace of mind. LBC sometimes lives up to its reputation.

If you stay 1 night at the Hilton, Westin or the Hotel Current they offer a Snooze and Cruise package which offers free parking for at least 7 days and free shuttle to the port. The website info is below.
