How far is le waterina, the boutique hotel in chennai form the city.?

I am visiting India on some work and also to take a personal vacation with my parents and family. I need to attend some meetings in Chennai, and wanted to stay at a relaxing place. So saw this Le Watreina which people gave good reviews of. But wanted to know how far it is from the city, and how much time it takes from there to anna nagar/ana salai. They said both are same, sorry if I am wrong. i tried for accommodation in Taj hotels, Sheraton but all of them are full, except Taj Club. Thats when I saw Le Waterina and it also seems pretty cheap. So any reviews, distances from there to site seeing places would be greatly helpful. The address says its at kottivakkam beach. Thanks.

    Le waterina is jus outside the city.There are many resorts in that area. its situated near d beach road called ecr (east coast road). its a lovely place. anna nagar and anna salai (or mount road) are different places. anna nagar is place which is around 40 kms from that hotel. you have to wade through the traffic.traffic is really heavy during peak hrs. anna salai is around 25 kms from the hotel.its actually d big road in chennai. nagar means place and salai means road in tamil language.

    One of the best is,Travel in ECR (east coast road). Its a beach side road with many interesting places.Its nice to drive along the road and u ll be relieved of city traffic. As u travel along the ECR the places ull come across the following places
    1.VGP universal kingdom – an amusement park some times cultural activities take place
    2. Mayajaal – Its a multiples theatre with 12 screens.u can watch tamil,english and hindi movies. Also they have video games centre,snow bowling,snooker
    3. Dhakshin chitra – Its a cultural place where many cultural things take place. They have different types of houses,huts constructed according to the culture.
    4.MGM dizzee world – Its also an amusement park with more rides
    5.Muttukadu boat house- Its a boating house where they have row boats,pedal boats,water scooter
    6.Kovalam beach – its an ordinary beach with some rocks
    7.Crocodile bank – one of the largest in india.they have crocs,snakes,dragon etc
    8.Dolphin city – Its not worth seein. They have sea whales.Their maintenance is not good
    9. Mahabalipuram of mamallapuram – They have many things related to olden culture. like temples,statues etc. there is also a beach there. this is around 60 kms from heart of chennai. all the above mentioned places are before that.
    10.There is place futher down called mudalaiyar kuppam boat house. they have kayaking,speed boat, pedal boat,banana boat. the river current will be very less,more or less still water.

    There are many finest resorts in ECR along the beach side. One of the best is the Fisherman’s cove.u can search in net for more resorts in the ecr….

    When ur in chennai there is one day tour organised by the govt of tamil nadu. They are called TTDC(Tamil nadu tourism development corporation).Its called a hop on hop off tour.
    They have two type of one day tours 1.Inside chennai city 2.Chennai to mamallapuram. For travelling to mamallapuram i advise you to take a taxi.

    Inside chennai tour will take u to places like the museum,fort st george,temples etc.
    Fort st george was built by britishers.Robert clive was ruling there. There are many antiques in there. There is church called St.Marys church where robert clive’s wedding took place.

    Some famous shopping malls in chennai include spencers,ampa mall,express avenue,city centre etc.
